Highlighting & Contouring
Highlighting and contouring is a very popular makeup trick nowadays made big by celebrities like Kim Kardashain and Lilly Ghalichi. This makeup trick involves highlighting parts of the face like the forehead, bridge of the nose and tops of the cheekbones where the sun would naturally hit and creating a shadow in the places that you would want to recede (appear smaller) or define. For example the sides of the forehead, sides of the nose, underneath the cheek bones for definition and also the jawline. To highlight you would need a concealer or foundation which is a few shades lighter than your skin tone to really make the highlight stand out, for this I would recommend either MAC Pro Long Wear concealer or MAC Select Cover Up concealer. After applying the concealer or foundation you would need to set it with a loose powder to avoid creasing. To contour you would need a bronzer or sculpting powder which replicates the colour of a shadow, for this I would recommend Benefit's Hoola bronzer or Bobbi Browns bronzer in Golden Light. This makeup technique can completely transform someone's face and boost people's confidence instantly. With the right products and technique highlighting and contouring can be achieved easily.
